Not sure how clear it is here, but that's a picture of a dragonfly who also appreciated my pedicure.
The wallpaper is finally all off. Hooray :) Now I have to decide how to do the room. I'm leaning towards a technique called Venetian plaster. It looks great, but it may prove to be a pain in the ass. The foyer is today's project anyway, so I have at least another day to decide what to do with the dungeon.

Removing wallpaper sucks. It's chewing up my manicure, hurting my neck & just pissing me off in general. It's vinyl wallpaper with layers of other junk under it. The vinyl isn't so difficult, but the old paper shit under it is just impossible.

The foyer's base coat is finished at least. That wasn't bad at all-especially since I didn't have to do it :P

I was heading for a nap. I <3 naps! But then I thought I should take advantage of the free time & get some more paper peeled.

Where are my comments btw? I have other journals (for my vanilla life & no you can't check them out) and I have a dozen comments within moments of finishing an entry. Don't you know how often an ego like mine must be fed???

Well the site (www.mistresscassidy.com) is coming along quite nicely. I have had over 100 hits last I checked, and that was just from announcing it on craigslist. I've only added one picture so far. I plan on having more taken this week sometime. And I want to add a 'wishlist' and a 'for sale' list. Just debating how they should look and finetuning the text in my head. There's still assorted tweaking to be done in what I have posted so far, but nothing major.
The painting is coming along slowly. Still working on the primer, I've just been too busy to stay with one project. Besides there should be a subbie dressed in a tutu & wearing a butt plug to do the painting! Mistress should not be jacking up her manicure doing it.

I'm so excited! My new web site is almost finished. Pictures need to be taken, and added; but the text is 90% complete. Tomorrow I can begin shameless, self-promotion of it.
And in other makes-me-happy news; I picked up wallpaper remover & paint for my new playspace last night. I changed my mind about the color scheme while I was at Home Depot. For weeks I have been collecting paint chips in shades of orange, with an idea for a nice chartuese accent color. Perhaps the decorations for Halloween were influencing me too much. Anyways, after debating the merits mesa sunrise, tangerine twist & peach parfait for hours, I went with scarlet's velvet. Which really looks nothing like the cheesy red options here, but you get the idea. My playspace should be painted, sanded, polyurathened & ready for a grand re-opening before the week is out!
I'm sure future posts will be far more exciting- but this is it for now.
